Care Instructions – Wool Slippers 🐑
Naturally warm. Properly cared for.
Wool slippers are made from a high-quality natural fibre with self-cleaning and temperature-regulating properties. With the right care, they remain shape-retaining, hygienic, and comfortable to wear for a long time.
1. Everyday care
Wool is naturally dirt-repellent and odour-neutral. Often, simple airing is sufficient to refresh your slippers.
Air out slippers regularly 🌬️
Brush off light dirt when dry
Allow heavy dirt to dry before gently removing it
Recommendation: GIESSWEIN Walk Brush: Giesswein Felt Brush
2. Washing – only when necessary
Wool slippers are machine washable when cleaned very gently:
Remove the insole before wash
Washable at max. 30 °C
Wool cycle
Low spin speed (max. approx. 600 rpm)
No fabric softener
No bleach or chemical additives
Use a mild, pH-neutral wool detergent 🧼
Ideally wash in a laundry bag: Laundry Net
This gentle care protects the wool fibres and prevents felting.
3. Hand cleaning (alternative)
Gently clean with lukewarm water and wool detergent
Do not rub or wring
Carefully press out excess water
4. Drying – especially important
Proper drying is essential to maintain the shape of your slippers:
❌ Not suitable:
No tumble dryer
Do not place on radiators
No direct sunlight
✅ Recommended:
Reshape slippers
Dry lying flat at room temperature 🌬️
Patience preserves the natural structure of the wool
