Laces are a simple styling upgrade for sneakers.
With different lacing techniques, you can change the look of your shoe, improve support or hide the laces. Here you will find four simple lacing techniques with short instructions and matching video tutorials (lacing techniques for a secure fit or hidden laces).
1. Classic lacing
Classic lacing provides even support and is the most commonly used method.
How it works:
Thread the laces through the bottom eyelets
Cross the laces alternately through the next eyelets
Tie a bow at the end
For a clean look, the lace ends can be hidden inside the shoe

2. Alternating cross lacing
This technique distributes pressure more evenly across the instep and provides more comfort while walking.
How it works:
Thread the laces through the bottom eyelets
Guide one lace through the opposite third eyelet
Pull the other lace through the eyelet below
Then continue lacing in an alternating cross pattern

3. Parallel lacing (for hidden laces)
This lacing technique looks clean and elegant and reduces pressure points on the instep.
It is especially suitable if you want the laces to remain hidden.
How it works:
Thread the laces from the outside to the inside through the bottom eyelet
Lead one lace up on the inside and insert it through the next eyelet
Let the other lace skip one eyelet
Repeat alternately so that parallel lines are formed
The ends can be hidden under the tongue
