Shoelaces influence not only the look of your shoes, but also comfort, support and pressure on the foot.
With different lacing techniques, shoes can feel more comfortable or provide better support. We are happy to introduce our easy shoelace techniques 😊
Variant 1: Classic Lacing
👟 Best for: Everyday wear | standard fit | universal
The classic criss-cross lacing is the most common method.
Benefits:
✅ Easy
✅ Quick support
✅ Suitable for almost all shoes
Choose this lacing if you:
→ want a simple and uncomplicated fit
Instructions:
1️⃣ Start at the bottom of the shoe
Thread the laces through the lowest eyelets.
2️⃣ Cross the laces
Cross the laces alternately through the next eyelets upwards.
3️⃣ Repeat until the top
Continue until you reach the top eyelets.
4️⃣ Finish
You now have two options:
Option A:
👉 Tie the laces normally into a bow
OR
Option B (hidden lacing):
👉 Thread the laces through the top eyelets from outside to inside
👉 Tie them behind the tongue
👉 Hide the ends inside the shoe
This creates a clean, minimal look 😊
Variant 2: Alternating Cross Lacing
👣 Best for: Sensitive feet | pressure points | more comfort
This lacing distributes pressure more evenly.
Benefits:
✅ Less pressure
✅ More comfortable on sensitive insteps
✅ Improved comfort while walking
Choose this lacing if you:
→ often feel pressure or tightness
Instructions:
1️⃣ Start at the bottom
Thread both laces from inside to outside through the lowest eyelets.
2️⃣ Take the left lace
Guide it through the 3rd opposite eyelet.
3️⃣ Return to the lower eyelet
Pass the same lace through the eyelet below.
4️⃣ Continue upwards
Pull the lace through the top opposite eyelet.
5️⃣ Repeat on the other side
Follow the same steps with the right lace.
6️⃣ Finish
Tie the laces normally 😊
Variant 3: Parallel Lacing
✨ Best for: Elegant look | sensitive instep
The laces run straight instead of crossing.
Benefits:
✅ Less pressure on the instep
✅ Clean appearance
✅ Premium look
Choose this lacing if you:
→ prefer a minimalist look or experience pressure on the instep
Instructions:
1️⃣ Start at the bottom
Thread laces from outside to inside through the lowest eyelets.
2️⃣ Continue on the left side
Skip one eyelet and pull the lace through the 3rd eyelet from inside to outside.
3️⃣ Move across
Guide the same lace horizontally through the opposite eyelet.
4️⃣ Skip another eyelet
Repeat and pull through the next free eyelet.
5️⃣ Continue to the top
Repeat until reaching the top eyelets.
6️⃣ Finish
👉 Tie normally
OR
👉 Hide the ends for a cleaner look 😊
Variant 4: Army Lacing
🏃 Best for: Sports | outdoor | stronger support
Provides a tighter fit and more stability.
Benefits:
✅ More stability
✅ Secure support
✅ Sporty look
Choose this lacing if you:
→ walk a lot, hike or prefer stronger support
Instructions:
1️⃣ Start at the bottom
Thread laces from inside to outside through the lowest eyelets.
2️⃣ Move to the next eyelet
Guide both laces from outside to inside.
3️⃣ Create the crossing pattern
Take the right lace and pass it through the middle loop.
4️⃣ Pull to the opposite side
Create a firm X-pattern.
5️⃣ Repeat to the top
Continue until the top eyelets.
6️⃣ Finish
Thread through the top eyelets and tie normally 😊
