How does the dial lacing system work?
Here is how to use the lacing system:
- 🔄 Fully loosen the lacing
- 👟 Place your foot in the shoe
- 🖐️ Check that the lacing cord moves freely through all guides
- 🔄 Turn the dial until the shoe feels comfortable and secure
When tightening, the lacing cord should tighten evenly across the entire shoe.
What are the advantages of the dial lacing system?
The quick-lacing system offers several advantages:
- ⚡ Quick to put on and take off – the lacing can be adjusted in just a few steps.
- 🔄 Easy adjustment – the lacing tension can be quickly adapted to your foot.
- 👣 Individual fit – you can adjust how firmly the shoe fits around your foot.
- 🥾 Secure hold – the lacing provides a stable fit for hiking, trekking and everyday use.
- 🌲 Practical on the go – the lacing can be quickly readjusted during a hike or tour.
- ✅ No loose shoelaces – there are no traditional laces hanging down that could get caught while walking.
The upper lacing cord is not being pulled in – what can I do?
If only the lower part tightens when you turn the dial or the upper cord remains loose, please try the following:
- Fully loosen the lacing.
- Check whether the cord is twisted or trapped.
- Carefully distribute the cord evenly through the individual guides.
- Slowly tighten the lacing again.
This can often help restore even lacing tension.
What can I do if the dial lacing system still does not work?
If the lacing system still cannot be tightened or loosened properly, you are welcome to submit a complaint to GIESSWEIN.
This applies, for example, if:
- the upper lacing cord is not being pulled in
- the dial no longer engages
- the lacing cannot be tightened
- the lacing cannot be loosened
- the lacing cord gets stuck
- the lacing tension remains uneven
- the lacing cord is torn or damaged
Please do not use excessive force on the dial and do not open or dismantle the lacing system yourself.
