We are happy to explain what it means when you provide a delivery location (drop-off authorization) with a shipping provider such as DHL, Colis Privé, Post, FedEx, or GLS:
If you specify a delivery location (e.g. in front of your door, in the garden, or by the garage), you allow the courier to leave your parcel there without personal handover.
⚠️ Important information about liability
Once the parcel has been placed at the agreed delivery location, it is considered successfully delivered.
From that moment:
- The shipping provider is no longer liable for loss or damage
- We as the manufacturer and sender also assume no liability
- ⚠️ The full risk (e.g. theft, loss, weather damage) lies with the recipient
💡 Our recommendation
We generally advise against granting a drop-off authorization, as losses can occur more frequently in practice.
If you still choose a delivery location, please ensure that it is:
- protected
- not visible
- and as secure as possible
📌 Conclusion
A delivery location offers convenience but comes with increased risk.
Please consider carefully whether you want to use this option.
🔄 Revoking the drop-off authorization
You can revoke or change your drop-off authorization at any time directly with the shipping provider (e.g. via your customer account or customer service).
