In general, the carrier/shipping service will make one delivery attempt to the delivery address you provided.
If delivery is not possible, your parcel is often taken to a parcel shop or pick-up station for collection.
This can happen for the following reasons:
- You were not at home during the delivery attempt
- The parcel could not be delivered safely
- Delivery to the provided address was not possible, for example because the address could not be found or the doorbell was not labelled
Your parcel will then usually wait for you at the nearest parcel shop or pick-up point.
