Many customers wonder what the difference is between the statutory warranty, a guarantee, and our 365-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. These terms are often confused, but they serve different purposes.
Here we explain the differences in a simple and easy-to-understand way. 💚
⚖️ Statutory Warranty
The statutory warranty protects you if your product had a material or manufacturing defect at the time it was delivered, even if the defect only becomes visible later.
Examples
✅ A seam comes apart due to a manufacturing defect.
✅ The sole comes loose even though the shoes have been used normally.
✅ A material defect appears after a short period of use.
The statutory warranty does not cover:
❌ Normal wear and tear
❌ Dirt or stains
❌ Damage caused by improper use or care
❌ Damage caused by external influences (e.g. sharp objects, animal bites or excessive mechanical stress)
🤝 Guarantee
A guarantee is a voluntary additional service offered by the manufacturer or seller and may provide benefits beyond the statutory warranty.
For GIESSWEIN products, the statutory warranty applies. In addition, we also offer our 365-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.
🍀 365-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
Your comfort is very important to us.
That's why we offer our 365-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.
If, within one year, you find that your shoes are not the right fit or you are simply not satisfied with your purchase, we will work together with you to find the best solution.
Depending on the individual case, we may offer:
- a free exchange,
- a refund,
- or another goodwill solution.
Each case is reviewed individually.
Common Examples
The shoes feel too tight or cause rubbing.
➡️ Our 365-Day Satisfaction Guarantee is the right option. In many cases, another model or a different shoe width is a better fit.
Tip: We offer different widths: F, G and H.
❌ The shoes became heavily soiled during a hike and can no longer be cleaned completely.
➡️ This is normally not covered by the statutory warranty, as there is no material or manufacturing defect. However, we are happy to review your individual case and, where appropriate, offer a goodwill solution.
❌ The shoes were washed in a washing machine or at an incorrect temperature and became damaged.
➡️ Damage caused by care instructions that differ from our recommendations is not covered by either the statutory warranty or the 365-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.
The sole comes loose without any visible external cause.
➡️ Please contact our Customer Service team. We will be happy to determine whether your case is covered by the statutory warranty or whether we can offer a goodwill solution.
