If you no longer wish to use Shop Pay, you can deactivate the service yourself via Shopify.
GIESSWEIN cannot deactivate Shop Pay on your behalf, as Shop Pay is a Shopify service and the data stored there is managed through your personal Shop Pay account.
How to deactivate Shop Pay
- Open the official Shop Pay opt-out form:
Deactivate Shop Pay — (Link: https://shop.app/pay/phone-optout) - Enter the mobile phone number registered with Shop Pay.
- Follow the instructions shown and submit your request.
According to Shopify, deactivating Shop Pay removes your phone number and the associated stored Shop Pay data. Shop Pay will then no longer be available to you for accelerated checkout.
Will this delete my customer data at GIESSWEIN?
No.
Deactivating Shop Pay only affects the data stored with Shopify / Shop Pay.
Your customer account and the customer data stored with GIESSWEIN will not be deleted.
Can GIESSWEIN deactivate Shop Pay for me?
No. For data protection and security reasons, Shop Pay must be deactivated directly by you through Shopify.
💡 Good to know: Shop Pay is an optional express checkout service. You can continue to use other available payment methods at GIESSWEIN.
